One question we hear often is, "How do I wash my Phiten?" There's no one "right" way to wash Phiten necklaces or bracelets, but we've come up with a few different ways that we've tested internally that work pretty well.(And by "tested internally", we mean "this is how we wash our Phitens at home".)
Recommendations for washing a Phiten Necklace or Bracelet(fabric or silicone):
1, Rinse the Phiten necklace with warm water.
2. Rub your hands with a gentle soap (like hand soap or very diluted detergent) until it comes to a light lather.
3, Cover the necklace or bracelet with the lather and rub with your fingers to remove excess dirt and grime buildup.
4, Rinse your Phiten necklace under warm water. Lightly rub the necklace with your hands to rinse it thoroughly.
5, Let the necklace air-dry.
For extra-dirty fabric necklaces or bracelets (Like the Star/Classic necklace, bracelet, Tornado necklaces, X30 necklaces, etc):
1. Use laundry stain remover: Spray according to the directions, then rinse out. For tougher stains, you can leave overnight.
2. Use baking soda: Make a paste of 1 part baking soda and 2 parts water and soak the necklace with it. Let it sit for 5 minutes or so, longer for tougher stains.
Warnings: Never use bleach, even for white necklaces. This can change the color of the necklace. Only wash as necessary - as with all materials, the more you wash it, the quicker it will fade and/or wear down.
